The University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons finished third in the UAAP Season 76 with three titles — a "double crown" in swimming three years after they last did it: the 17th title for the Men's and the 14th UAAP championship to Women's, their fourth twin kill; and a sweep of the finals series despite a thrice-to-win disadvantage for the 6th in women's table tennis, which by doing so UP became the first senior team to do such feat.

De La Salle University took its second straight overall title with perennial titleholders University of Santo Tomas (UST) finishing second. The Green Archers became the only school other than UST to be able to defend the general plum for many years.

The following shows the points garnered by the teams in the past season. (15 points are awarded to champions, 12 for runner-up, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, and 1 are given to the other teams in order of finish).
